Presentation: AI Realism in Trading
Zach recently gave a talk to the ATAA titled AI Realism in Trading. It’s now up on YouTube if you’d like to give it a watch.
The short version: I think much of what’s being said about AI in trading right now is wrong, and I think the people most at risk from that wrongness are the ones least equipped to notice. The talk is my attempt to lay out why that is, with examples ranging from BlackBerry’s response to the iPhone to a Hong Kong investor’s fight against a supercomputer hedge fund, and a demonstration showing how two identical AI trading systems can produce radically different outcomes.
