Trent’s Journey to The Chartist

Trent Rothall joins The Chartist

Trent Rothall has joined The Chartist team. Alongside his trusty cavoodle Toby, based in regional South Australia,Trent Rothall has developed two successful trading strategies; a weekly ASX trend following strategy and a mean reversion strategy for the US market. Trent was able to build these after completing the Trading System Mentor Course with Nick and Craig, where he gained the skills to create and validate his own strategies from scratch.

Trent’s trading philosophy is straightforward: once a strategy is set in motion, he trusts the process without hesitation. This confidence is bolstered by his coding skills and a thorough validation process, ensuring each decision is data-driven and well-informed.

A key to Trent’s success has been his shift to RealTest software, moving away from Amibroker. This change has streamlined his strategy testing, allowing for a more efficient analysis across both his strategies. RealTest offers the flexibility to experiment and refine ideas, a crucial component when using a multi-strategy trading approach.

Trent’s story is not just about trading success; it’s about the power of education, confidence in one’s strategies, and the smart use of technology to achieve one’s goals. From the quiet of regional South Australia, Trent demonstrates that with the right tools and determination, the stock market is an accessible and profitable arena for traders everywhere.

Recently, Trent has taken his passion for trading to the next level by joining The Chartist, where he has taken on the role of member management and customer success and is also a Trainee Analyst. This new phase in Trent’s career not only signifies his growing expertise but also his commitment to contributing to a broader trading community.

Trent’s start with The Chartist co-incides with Natasha Wenke leaving. Natasha was with us for 8 years and we were sad to see her go however she is pursuing university studies and a complete career change. We wish her every success.
