For many of us it’s a passion, whether we’re trading full time or as a secondary income. 

With an endless learning curve, trading can be all-consuming with every spare moment spent in front of the computer. And this is where trading starts becoming an unhealthy pursuit. 

There are the obvious health concerns with spending too much time in front of our screens. One of the biggest is the sedentary lifestyle that comes with sitting for hours on end.

The science is in and it’s not complicated. Exercise can re-balance the lack of movement that comes from sitting at a desk. And exercise can control the emotional feelings of stress on a cellular level.

Trading can be stressful but regular exercise can help us cope when those stressful situations come along. It’s called preventative health. 

“I have no time to exercise,” I hear you say 

However, by exercising regularly you could actually free up more time AND improve your trading performance.

How?

Regular exercise can actually help us sail through the day with a clearer head which assists us to work more efficiently. 

Exercise also helps us manage daily stress, which in turn can create better mental health and happiness.

So kick start your day with a brisk walk, a swim, a bike ride, or even yoga followed by some meditation. 

30-45 minutes a day, three or four times a week is all you need to make a difference.
