Ideal for active investors or as an entry timing mechanism for fundamental investors.
Bollinger Bands as a trend following tool are well within the business, however, in Unholy Grails we put a new spin on their use with great effect, especially for longer term active investors wishing to ride larger moves in the market. Bollinger Bands require not only upward momentum to enter positions, they also require an expansion in volatility. This mechanism allows the system to be more selective with trades and therefore reduces position variability that can impact on returns.
