September 14 2009 – Transports surging

In the last 5 trading sessions the Dow Jones Industrials has risen +1.46%. In the same 5 sessions the Dow Jones Transports has risen +6.25%. Not only has the Transports outrun the Industrial but its also been able to skip through to new recent highs, eclipsing the late August highs but a reasonable margin. The Industrials is yet to do so. This positive move in the Transports bodes well for ongoing strength so I remain very comfortable with my current positioning. There are quite a few base breakout patterns taking hold so we’ll add a few more to the mix in the coming days.
