ASX Commentary

Weekly Trend: Flat
Daily Trend: Flat
Daily Momentum: ___ Down

A good effort by the market today which seemed to shrug off the threat from North Korea and also by the strength seen today in China. Technically the market closed very strongly after probing into a zone of support. See CHART HERE. We mentioned in yesterdays alert that this same zone of support had been rejected on three occasions during October, and here it is again being rejected at the exact same levels. The question is whether there was reasonable buyer demand here or whether weakness in the last few sessions was an over reaction. What we do know is that a close below this support zone paves the way to lower prices. I think we need to stay cautious right here but I would say there would be some good Type-A bullish divergence setups available today for more aggressive traders.
