ASX Commentary

Weekly Trend: Down
Daily Trend: Down
Daily Momentum: ___ Down

A late rally driven by the financial sectors saw the market close on its highs and record small gains of 0.4% for the XJO. Prior to that it was a choppy session traded in a tight range with little happening for traders, a similar story to the US overnight. Volume increased on today’s session to levels not seen on a positive close day since early October. Whilst the financials rallied, the Materials and Metal/Mining sectors were laggards. After a solid month for October, November has been the reverse – the XJO closing 178.3 points or 4.15% lower for the month. Here’s hoping for a santa rally!
