ASX Commentary

Weekly Trend: Up
Daily Trend: Up
Daily Momentum: ___ Flat

US markets closed flat overnight for the first session back after a public holiday and European markets were down modestly. With that sort of lead, and a couple of reasonably good days behind it, our market took a breather in early trade, down slightly. It picked up ground with an afternoon rally only to fade into the close and end the day flat after a choppy, unremarkable session. Gold and Energy sectors were strong after good gains in related futures overnight. Although the broader market is still range bound, there are plenty of signals being generated for both ASX systems so those following the portfolios should be close to, or fully invested and following signals without question.
