ASX Commentary

Weekly Trend: Down
Daily Trend: Down
Daily Momentum: ___ Down

Choppy trading was the order of the day for both the US market overnight and the Australian market today. The Dow Jones lost 21.87 points whilst the XJO closed up 12.8 points ending a lacklustre session. Today’s session ends a six day losing streak as the index attempts to hold support, although it was far from convincing. One more short trade has been posted but I wouldn’t bet the house. We are waiting for more trades to develop which will take a bounce of some sort or some consolidation from the broader market and individual stocks before they are ready to short sell. Until then we remain patient and mostly on the sidelines. US futures are currently up about half a percent in night trading so we can only hope for some follow through overnight for a positive lead tomorrow.
