ASX Commentary

Weekly Trend: Down
Daily Trend: Neutral
Daily Momentum: ___ Up

Todays weakness was enough to move the daily trend back to neutral and therefore turn off the Systematic Power Setups. We entered one position today which will be managed accordingly. It’s an interesting time in the markets. China continued to keep lending curbs in place which left Asian markets, including the ASX, weak into their respective closes. Today is also the start of the US earnings season so many will be keeping a close eye on whether or not last season was just an aberration or whether we’re seeing a more sustained recovery. If earnings fall short of expectation then downside momentum will surely follow.
