ASX Commentary

Weekly Trend: Up
Daily Trend: Up
Daily Momentum: ___ Up

Our market meandered its way upward for much of the day before powering home in the last hour or so to close the week out with another solid effort. The complete opposite to last week, we’ve had five days straight of gains and all ground lost last week has been made up and then some. Up 1.4% for the day, the XJO ended the week up 7.6%, apparently the best week for about three years, though I haven’t confirmed that from the charts. Volume was again quite solid, momentum has turned up and the daily and weekly trends are up. The ASX Systematic Portfolio has joined the others in switching on today with plenty of pending orders signalled. US unemployment data is released tonight before the session open and is often a market mover. Enjoy your weekend.
