FAQs

How often can I access the analysis?
The analysis, commentary and any recommendations are accessible 24/7 via the secure subscriber area. All new information is updated early evening, prior to the next trading session so it's available well before the next market open.

Do you give trading recommendations?
Yes. All information provided by The Chartist is considered General Advice only. We offer easy to understand commentary and analysis on every stock covered. We will provide very specific buy and sell recommendations where appropriate and further suggestions will be advised depending on the situation at hand.

What stocks do you cover?
We look at the ASX-300 and highlight trading opportunities or educational insights. We also cover peripheral markets that will impact on the local market, such as Gold, Copper, Oil, Zinc, Australian Dollar and major US Indices.
The Power Setups look at the ASX 300 and the US top 500.

Will I learn as well?
Yes, much of the Charting Analysis content is educational. You will learn to spot opportunities for yourself and how to take advantage of them. The same goes for the Power Setups however, we do not offer explanations in this section, it is simply advice  where to buy, where to sell, where to set your stops and how to manage the trade along the way.

Do you look at bearish situations as well?
Yes. We understand that many of our subscribers use CFD's, options or warrants so all situations are catered for.

What is the minimum subscription period?
The minimum period is one month for the Power Setups and Charting Analysis. The minimum period for SMSF and Growth Portfolio is one year, simply because these are long term projects and require commitment. Pro rata refunds are not offered.

Monthly subscriptions: how do I pay each month?
Your subscription will recur on the same day of each month. If you subscribe on 15th of the month, your credit card or PayPal account will be rebilled on the same day the following month.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You do not need to cancel annual subscriptions. They will expire and do not automatically renew.

For monthly subscriptions paid for via PayPal: login to your PayPal account and cancel your subscription payments.

For monthly subscriptions paid for via Camtech: login to The Chartist then go to My Subscription, Cancel Your Subscription.

The amount refunded will be the annual fee less one months subscription fee (e.g. $990 less $90 = refund of $900 for the Professional Package).

Can I have a free trial?
We do not offer free trials. You can subscribe for a one-off 2 week trial of the Professional Package for $19.

You may also join our Free Chart of the Week mail list and receive an example of our Charting Analysis, which is usually emailed each Tuesday.

Public holidays and annual leave.

The Chartist content is written by Nick Radge. All administration is conducted by Trish Radge. The Chartist is a very exclusive newsletter not intended for the mass market. We personally handle all our clients queries and take our business and our clients needs very seriously. Like most Australians we enjoy (and need) our annual leave. Please note that your subscription to The Chartist includes up to 4 weeks annual leave, including the 2 weeks over the Christmas and New Year period. We will advise subscribers in advance of our holiday dates. The Chartist will not be updated on public holidays when the Australian Stock Exchange is closed.

I do not have a credit card. How can I pay?
We only accept cheque or direct deposit payments for annual subscriptions. You may subscribe by printing off the subscription form and posting it along with a cheque made out to The Chartist for the cost of your annual subscription, to PO Box 721 Noosa Heads QLD 4567. We will then contact you by email to confirm your subscription and access details. If you would like to pay for an annual subscription by direct deposit, please email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it for bank details.

Do you offer education?
The Chartist does not attempt to teach you the basics - there is plenty of free information available on the internet. We do teach you - using real time examples - the exact rationale for the expected price movements in all Charting Analysis commentary. This will give you a very good feel of what a savvy trader would look for when making trading decisions.  We do have a resources section within our secure area. This includes both videos and articles to help subscribers fine tune their trading skills.

Is it possible to discuss the analysis and trades with you or other subscribers?
Yes. All subscribers have access to a subscriber-exclusive forum where you may openly discuss all facets of The Chartist with other subscribers. Subscribers must register to use the forum (this is separate from your Chartist subscription), then email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to request access to the private forum.
